CRC's Accreditation
Cosumnes River College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, 10 Commercial Blvd., Ste 204, Novato, CA 94949, an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Commission on Recognition of Postsecondary Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education.
Current Status: CRC has received reaffirmation of accreditation from the ACCJC.

What is accreditation?
Accreditation is a system of peer-review in which educational institutions are held responsible for a set of requirements and standards to ensure the quality of education provided to students. "The purposes of regional accreditation include encouraging institutions to improve academic quality, institutional effectiveness, and, ultimately, student success." (ACCJC)

Automotive Mechanics Technology (AMT)
In addition, the Automotive Mechanics Technology program is certified by the National Automotive Technician Education Foundation in all eight areas of Automotive Service Excellence.
Health Information Technology (HIT)
In addition, our Health Information Technology Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education in collaboration with the American Health Information Management Association (CAHIIM).
Pharmacy Technology
The Pharmacy Technology Program is accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
Veterinary Technology & Medical Assisting
The Veterinary Technology program has been accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Medical Assisting program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), on recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation for Medical Assistant Education.
College and University
The University of California, California State University system, and all other accredited colleges and universities give full credit for appropriate courses completed at Cosumnes River College. The college holds institutional memberships in the American Association of Community and Junior Colleges and the Community College League of California.
